Wythe Japanese Wabash Stripe Moleskin Ranch Jacket - $502 $377
This is on sale and still costs more than some brands charge for a denim jacket. But this isn’t any denim jacket. It’s actually a warmer, denser moleskin in a very fine “Wabash” stripe that dates back to 1850s workwear. Typically done in indigo, Wythe freaked it with this nice warm “espresso” brown color I would have called café au lait. The contrast between this ground and the pop of oxidized and polished copper elements make this truly special but still highly wearable. Oh, and it’s made in the USA.
Left Field Japanese "Frog Skin" Camo Double Knee Work Pant - $250
You know how Jenna Lyons said leopard print is a neutral? Well, I don’t know that I’d go so far as to say camouflage is neutral for men, but I’ve found that frogskin camo is pretty versatile and a fun nod to vintage militaria that is old enough that no one’s going to think you’re active duty. Especially in Left Field’s workwear style double knee cut.
Scarosso Ginevro Brown Calfskin Loafers - $380
The Bally boat shoes have been a thing for a while, especially for women. Super elegant, lightweight, and buttery soft. But at $950, they’re a tough pill to swallow. Scarosso’s style looks quite similar and, in my opinion, a bit better, with supple buffalo leather that will age better and comfortable full calfskin lining.
