Well, it’s September, and the air is still hot and heavy here in LA, making it hard to even think about Fall yet. I’d love to share things I’m excited to wear, but the heat is doing that thing where it turns my brain to mush, and all I can seem to do is genuflect briefly on the summer that has been. Ruby and I are fostering a puppy, and it’s become a bit of a parable for all the loads you take on in your lifetime that feel like acts of charity, but at the end of the day, remind you that one only has so much in them to give. It all started with an Instagram story I came across on the dogswithoutborders IG of a crazy hoarding situation with dozens of puppies that looked just like ours, and somehow, we ended up taking one of them in. He’s the sweetest baby boy—much better behaved than our pups and just as affectionate, but two dogs are more than enough for us right now and he's making us resent our own dogs for being such little gremlins all the time. So, if anyone’s looking for a new puppy in the LA area, hit me up and take this angel off our hands.
